It’s Good Friday and that means a family friendly weekend leading up to Easter Sunday, and if you are planning on heading to a sunrise service for Easter in Placer County, there are plenty of places where you can celebrate.
Easter Sunday in Placer County means dressing up in your Sunday best including your Easter bonnet. Most people who grew up in Placer County remember shopping for Easter outfits a few weeks before the actual day whether it meant a trip down to Sacramento or a shopping spree in Roseville or Auburn.
If you haven’t made plans for the Easter weekend yet, there are plenty of ways that you can enjoy the day, which is supposed to be spring like and beautiful.
Tomorrow will be filled with good old-fashioned Easter Egg hunts and there will several for you and the kids to enjoy tomorrow and Easter in Placer County.
Celebrate with the folks from the Flower Farm Nursery in Loomis. Their Easter Egg Hunt is located at 9280 Horseshoe Bar Road and starts at 11:00 am on Saturday April 4th.
If you are in the Sierra Nevada’s head into Tahoe City for the annual Spring Eggstravaganza on April 4th. Happening rain or shine and beginning at 10:00 am at the Commons Beach, this family friendly event includes the Easter Egg hunt and all sorts of activities for kids of all ages including the opportunity to pose with the Easter Bunny.
Roseville has two Easter Egg hunts this year so there will be plenty of hunting for everyone. The Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Festival runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday the 4th and is located at the Woodcreek Golf Club at 5880 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. The Bunny Breakfast Buffet kicks things off with the hunt itself beginning at 11:30 am with the Leaps and Bounds Rabbit Rescue Bunny Rabbits, bouncy house, coloring contest, and family friendly entertainment happening for the rest of the festival.
The Bayside annual Easter Egg Hunt gets things started at 10:00 am at the Westfield Galleria Mall. Head over to 1151 Galleria Blvd where you and the kids can enjoy egg hunts for specific age groups. Age appropriate activities, live stage entertainment, music, food, vendors and much more will also be happening all day long.
The Gold Country Fairgrounds at 1273 High Street in Auburn will host its annual Community 5000 Easter Eggstravaganza presented by the Auburn 20-30 Club. Get there early and enjoy a free craft booth, a climbing wall, and a bounce house. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at noon with real eggs, candy, toys, and stickers with assorted fields for kids from age one to twelve with a Special Needs area as well.
If you are in Auburn you will not want to miss the free Easter Bunny Hop in Old Town on Saturday, that’s tomorrow, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, the third annual Easter Bunny Hop is for children of all ages and is rumored to be visited by the Easter Bunny as well.
Sunday there are all kinds of Placer County Easter events happening including an Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch at the Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
There will also be other Easter Egg Hunts on Sunday the 5th of April including one at the West Shore Café located 5160 West Lake Blvd in Homewood and an Easter Egg Hunt in Incline Village at Diamond Peak from 9:00 am at 1210 Ski Way.
