Folsom Lake State Park offers a staging area in Granite Bay which is at the end of Douglas Blvd. There are 60+ miles of trails in the State Park. You’ll find plenty of parking, a round pen, wash rack, bathrooms and picnic area. Most of the trails are smooth with little rock. You’ll find horse only along with multi-use trails, some trails lead to the beach where you can swim with your horse on a hot day. The Folsom Lake trails can connect you to the famous Western States trailhead located in Auburn.
