Looking for a country feel yet close to all the amenities, Loomis could be the spot for you with its downtown Mom and Pop businesses: Charlottes Café & Coffee House ( formerly The Wild Chicken) for coffee or Taylor’s for a burger and milkshake. Get produce at The Blue Goose in the old fruit packing shed or if you’re into gardening visit High Hand Nursery. Also check out Christensen’s Saddlery, one of the largest tack shops in Northern CA. Mostly rural and big for the horse enthusiasts Loomis is a must see area.
Loomis Basic Veterinary Clinic is located in Loomis and very well known throughout South Placer County.
Del Oro HS located in Loomis is known as “the school you want to get your kids in” and has been around since 1959, they are highly rated academically (rated 10 on California School Ratings) and have great sports, band and agriculture programs. It’s not unusual to have many a community member attend the football games whether they have kids or not.
